2006 The Best Year Ever !
What a crazy year! I loved it . There was so much going on. And I kow that I have been been lax on my blogger scoop but, guess what ? Little Abe has just taken over. We have been so blessed with the birth of our sweet baby Abe. I think that was the biggest event of 2006, but that is from Granny 9-1-1 perspective.
We had
weddings, graduations and births, so it was pretty jam packed with events. In our immediate families there were no deaths, but we had friends that lost loved ones, I know how hard that is.I feel for them.Just watching President Ford's funeral was so hard. And that surprised me. What was so touching about that funeral that I cried? I think that I could relate to all the children, and looking at Mrs. Ford,.... she could be any one of our mothers. She was so stoic and didn't shed a tear.So tiny, so frail, sort of reminded me of my own Mom. But I sat and watched and sobbed. I couldn't take my eyes off the screan, as President Busch talked, the older one. And I just love him. He made jokes about Ford and himself. I loved watching he and his wife and I enjoyed watching Betty tell her daughter, Susan that the music was beautiful.
