My Abe Is Such A Big Boy
I can not get over how quickly Abe has turned from a baby to a boy. I know that sounds funny, but it seems like over night he is able to make decisions, relay feelings, and has become very persuasive.
Those years as a tottler are very difficult. Lot's of learning of social skills and independence.
I do not like him being so grown up. I miss my baby Abe.
I know I have no choice, and I also have little Sam to fill the void, it's just sort of sad, but so amazing to experience. He doesn't let me cuddle him, 's too big. He will let me give him a hug when he leaves for school. I think he really appreciates me taking care of Sam. That just gives Abe more on on one with his parents. He's quite happy seeing me feed his brother and his parents ca read him book or play cars with him.
I had to laugh the other day I was playing with Sam. I was taking toy and shaking it in front of his little face. In my most annoying baby talk voice I said over and over, "What do you want? What do you want? What do you want?" Abe looked at me and said , "He wants that duck!"
Abe has had to handle a lot in the last few months. He has become a big brother. He has mastered the potty thing. ( Just about) Then going back to school after spending extra time with Mom when the baby came and Dad for all summer, he has been missing all his time with them being gone all day . I do think you are adjusting to your brother just fine. Yesterday I heard you say that Sam could be your deputy. How cute is that? I'll remind you of that when you boys are in High school and become partners in crime.
I know that it's been such an adjustment in Abe's little life going from number one to...... hold on, I'll help you in a minute, but believe me little guy, you'll really appreciate having a brother when your older, so your parents won't be all wrapped up in your business all the time....just direct them to Sam.
