New York, New York

Well gotta tell you that New York will never be the same after the "Desperate Housewives" of Indiana have visited. We were only there three days, we saw all the sights that my little feet could tolerate. Everything from the Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Center,to CanalSt.in Soho, the Statue of Liberty , Central Park., St. Patrick's Cathedral to Sax Fith avenue. Which did not have petites...whatever, are people in New York all tall? Or are all the short people just not fashionable enough to wear designer clothes?

I think what amazes me the most is how familiar the street names were because so many TV shows and movies take place there that you can relate to these places. The different buildings like the Empire State building and the Chrysler building, the UN, that I have seen on TV and finally seeing up close, is was pretty cool. We did it all. Saw a Broadway Show, The Wedding Singer, got up at 5:00am to see the Today Show, and saw Time's Square at night. What really was fun was having six ladies, all different interest get along so well without any conflicts. We had a lot of laughs and a lot of shopping, alot of walking. So I am glad we did this before too many more years, cause my feet really are'nt up to all this walking. I didn't gain a pound for all that walking and believe me we ate and drank a lot.

I got to see my nephew , Bill one night , cause he's working there right now. And the ladies just loved him. Bill was such a good sport, being with us, middle aged old bags. Eventhough he had to work the next day, he hung out. Of course we had rearranged our 5:00AM wake up for the Today show to the day after. Too may Martinis, wine or whatever. God love him.....

I guess I had expected high fashion on the streets, or big city style. But probably most the people we saw were tourists, dressed like us. I feel like we did so much in just three days. I was verry ready to come home to our lazy hazy Southern Indiana, town, don't miss the big city hurry up and wait mantality. I am so glad to have the experience and wouldn't change a thing. Have so many more stoies, I'll write as I think about them. It's good to be home.
