Psychic Phenom
Okay folks I know you are all getting tired of my Vegas experience, but here goes one more. When I took Jeanie back to Ohio after our Thanksgiving visit I had the opportunity to have a reading with a psychic. Those of you who know me,understand my quirky need for spirit encounters,following my intuition, being aware of signs and messages from the other side, that kind of stuff. Well I had a reading. I wasn't all that into it because I really wanted to do some Christmas shopping, but I went with the flow.
The lady seemed really nice. She stated that my husband and I were soul mates. Well in my mind I sort of question that. It's taken a long time for us to be where we are today.And I love my man a lot. Ain't no way we are soul mates ,cause we have worked through too much shit over the last thirty years that we were married,let alone the eight years were together before we were married. Maybe that's what made us soul mates. My point is we had a little roller coaster of love so to speak. Not my idea of what soul mates should be, but she proceeded, You will always be with him. Hell yea, I'm not about to start over now.She asked,"Do you have two or three children?" Whatever, you are supposed to know this stuff. I say two. "Oh, because one child is fuzzy".Alright, I was losing faith. Until she asked me if I gambled. "No, I don't". Oh , she saw me winning money. "Well, I'm going to Las Vegas in December", I said. "Okay good. You're gonna win money. There's a carousel,I'm not familiar with Las Vegas",she said. I said, "neither am I." She went on ," there is a Carousel that you need to go to" .I asked, "Circus,Circus?" She said, "yes, that must be it,go there to the slot machines,third row over from the right, 8th or 9th machine. You will win." Okay this was pretty specific. And it really stuck with me. She even said, "Don't you want to write this down?" She went on to tell me some other vague stuff.So I thought.
When I got home from my Ohio trip, (which she also told me I was taking a short trip) Hello, Streetsboro to Indiana, no short trip. Rob saw my tape recording with the psychic's card on it and started to give me grief. "Shut up, she liked you, you're my soul mate. And we are going to win money in Vegas." It did make him smile. "We just have to go where there is a carousel,I think that's Circus,Circus."
So here we are, our first day in Vegas. No plans just getting a grip.Checking out the hotel,Bellagio's. We tried some slots. It didn't take any time at all to suck down our 20's. It really made my soul mate annoyed, till I pointed out to him that they ARE giving us free drinks while we play. A beer is $8 and a mixed drink$12 or$15. It did show us how quickly money is lost and SO we didn't play too long.
We had our spa day. We had our nice dinners. We went to our shows. Then at New York NewYork after one of our shows,we tried the slots. Well we won!$400, and we quit. That was really fun.So we got the taste. The taste of winning.
Now it was our last day. Nothing is planned. We decided to walk around and see some other Casinos. "We have got to find Circus,Circus. We have got to give it a shot." Well it was way far away from where we were, and a cab drive would be a lot of money. We decided to just walk around. "I am going to be very unhappy with you if I don't try Circus Circus, for my psychic winnings." My soul mate just rolled his eyes, and said let's go.The sidewalks were packed. It was the day before New Years, people were piling in to Vegas by the droves. It was cloudy and cool. A good day to be walking. We saw The Wynn, Treasure Island,and then Rob saw it. What's that across the street? A giant Carousel, now it had vendors selling T-shirts and lots of souvenirs,but it was a freak'n Carousel.The place was Bali's. We went in. Now here is the tricky part. There really were not rows. The slot machines were stationed in circles. So I tried to figure what would be the third row from the right.I tried a few coins. It wasn't working. So I said, "let's go with the ones on the wall. It's the 8th or 9th one." Rob pointed and said "Let's go for this one." It was the ninth machine in that row.We put the money in. Played a few times.....
Ding Ding Ding $600 dollars! I looked at Rob and said,"Was that our win?" "He said I think so." "Should we stop??" "It's up to you." I stopped.
So needless to say I am going over my psychic recording with a fine tooth comb.And by the way, she told me Bri and Jake would have a baby before the end of the 2006. So, does that mean that Rob is truely my soul mate? I think he can only handle me for one lifetime.This one.
