Joe the Plumber

Well, I wish I had pictures to share, but I don't.Although the people that did take pictures, I am sure will use them against us some day. Rob and I went to our first Halloween Party in 20 years. I swear , we are reliving past life experiences. For example,- Rob is in a band, that's right people, he is in a band. So I guess, I am a groupie. Or as Penny Lane and I, of course prefer, I am a band aid. Back to Halloween. I was Minnie Mouse for the Halloween party, and Rob was Joe the Plumber. Pretty clever, I thought, hence the McCain/ Obama debate of recent. At the party there were a lot of pirates, which didn't make sense to me since the big pirate movie was last year, but whatever, pirates are sorta easy to do. The obligatory election year characters, Hillery and Obama masks. I still think Rob was the best. Although there was a pretty lady wearing a sexy animal print slip with Freud, as a name tag in her front....tell me what you think that is....I'll tell you later..... work on it.
The party was fun, people like to dress up. It sort of changes up the atmosphere, and you can hide behind a mask. There were 2 members of KISS, Hippies, a 50's couple , Sonny and Cher. who,I think were singing as we left.....Phantom of the Opera couple, ....very cool I must say, they had authentic clothing from all their extraordinaire travels. Very impressive. Our's were from our extensive travels in Jasper Indiana, WalMart and a the local costume shop. Which again is very interesting, being that this is such a small town....how the Sam- HELL do they keep their business going? Halloween is one freaking time of year. Mind boggling. Good for them...wonder if they will be helped by the Obama campaign? Will their small business suffer? Anywho, there was a clown, a leaf blower...which was a guy in a hard hat who had leaves in his face that he kept blowing...Clever! Have you gotten what the lady in the slip was yet? She was a "Freudian slip"....very cute, the leaf blowing guy and the Freudian slip were a couple. Very smart, Uh?

Okay, these are my sisters.........they are crazy. In these pictures there are nieces and sister's -in-law plus cousins tucked in, but these are my sisters.
We had such a good time in Sanibel. There was the beach, the sun, the food, the talk and the laughter...

I am so blessed. I think we figured out that this was our fourth trip down here. Over the years we have had issues. This year we are pretty much laid back. Our kids are grown up, mostly ...some of us have grand kids.... we have less hormones, so we do not have many issues.

We just had a week of sun sand and leisure. How cool is that? One of the husband's called this past week and said, "Are you girls doing some husband bashing, cause my ears are burning." And my sister said no, "We aren't . We have kids and Grand kids to talk about....there's no bashing here." We just enjoyed each other. It was great. How lucky are we that we have each other. I want to do this every year.

I do want to say though , that Abe was a big hit with his" MOW mow mow " video. We granny's like that kind of stuff. We watched him every day.... it was fun.
