Babay It's Cold Outside

This is Abe and a giant snowman that he and his Dad made in his backyard. This is just one small example of the snow that we have endured this winter. Jasper is more south than Indianapolis, but we have had our fair share of snow this year also. No global warming where we live. I do not think that there is much global warming anywhere in the US this winter, what's up with that, Al Gore? Don't get me started.
Rob and I went to the movies over the weekend, and we saw Valentines Day. It made me sad how the movie depicted Indiana people. Personally, I think of Indiana/ Ohio as the same, I guess Hollywood thinks of all Midwest people as hill jacks. Don't get me wrong , there are some Ohio people that are hill jacks AND some Indiana folks that could be in that category also, but not all of us. It's really sort of stereotyping, but I think I do that too sometimes. Here is what I think the Midwest stands for, family first, good work ethic, and higher education for our kids. These are pretty strong values that carry us throughout our lives. Maybe that sounds really naive for Movie people, for me it's what counts in real life.
