History Weekend

We were cleaning out our closet this weekend making our old clothes HISTORY! We had some classics. I couldn't throw away the Richmond swim team T-shirts....I just couldn't. These weren't our kid's T-shirts these were mine and Robs. How sad are we? And then I got to the really good stuff. I found Brianne and Robby's christening outfits. OMG! How precious are they? And of course I had to process each little stain and each little ruffle and remember the day and how perfect my baby was. And the God parents...how we pained over who to choose. Rob was not ready to process my psychotic state but in my mind my babies were the most perfect angels on the earth. Should I have these outfits cleaned, should I try to do it myself? Do I give these outfits to my kids? Do I keep them? Yikes!

I found the candles that were used at the Christenings and also each blanket that each baby had. I am not really good about this kind of stuff, and we have moved several times, so just fact that I found these things in tact actually impresses me. So Robby and Brianne if you are wanting your Christening outfits I have them, you are welcome to them at any time.

Amost Famous

Play hard and work hard
Rob has found another way to fill his leisure time, and that's with "the band with no name". He had his Jasper debut last weekend. It was a beauteous evening, fall trees, fire pit and chili. The band has had maybe two practices. It was great not only for the music they made, but for the shear joy that the band had while performing. It was so apparent that they were having a blast.
Rob has definitely been involved with music forever, all of our backyard parties, OBX guitar nights, even our 25th anniversary. His actual band experience has not been around for at least 35 years. Back in those days, I really wasn't around to see him perform, for whatever reasons. Thought I'd share the picture of my rock star along with a quote from Penny Lane,
"Groupies" sleep with rock stars because they want to be near someone famous. We are here because of the music. We are band aids."
