Donny's Biggest Fan

Having Jeanie here for DWTS has been the best experience in watching the show. I love it, some of my friends love it, my sisters love it, but Jeanie LOVES DONNY! Oh Lordy, what a night. Jeanie giggles and shrieks every time Donny is shown. The introductions alone made her euphoric. I haven't felt like that since Davy Jones of the Monkees when I was in the 6Th grade.
I thought Jeanie was gonna stroke out when Kelly was dancing. Kelly did great her first round. Jeanie though, thought Kelly had slipped up. I love Kelly's smile and her no nonsense comments to Louie. She has come a long way, and reminds me of Drew Barrymore. She truly had no training and improved every week. God love her. Ozzie and Sharon are so cute too. Kelly has a great following and her fans have really carried her a long way.
Next was Mya. Jeanie wigged out when she got 3 tens. Oh Lordy, the knee was shaking and Jeanie was on the edge of her seat. "Give Donny a chance ! " She declared. This may be a long night, I thought to myself. How did I end up with Jeanie visiting when DWTS is having their finale ? Was this a conspiracy? I think the Valium may be needed, too bad I don't have any.
The group dance went well, and I thought it was a three way tie. Jeanie was okay with Donny coming in second. I assured her that there was one more dance. I think Mya may still has an edge. Jeanie gave me the dirtiest deadliest look I have ever seen on her sweet face. Yikes! Too bad I couldn't split a drink with her.
The free style was the last performance. Poor Kelly fell. There was no empathy from Jeanie. She really gave it her all, and ended with a smile. Mya, honestly was just okay. It was cute, but there was no WOW moves. Then there was Donny.....he brought it. I couldn't believe it. Well, and you all probably watched, but no one, and I mean no one was more happy than Jeanie last night. Jeanie shrieked when Donny got three 10's. Okay when I say shrieked, the house shook, the neighbors could hear her, and she was jumping up and down.UYES!, YES! YES! How fun is she? Now that's how I want to be passionate about something. If Rob couldn't hear her from down in the basement, Jeanie opened the door and let him know that DONNY GOT THREE 10's!
My only worry is that I did not DVR last night's show. Jeanie already asked me about it. So tonight I will definitely record it. I have purchased some Welch's sparkling grape juice. Ready to toast the winner. I just pray that her man pulls through, otherwise it may be a Valium night for sure. Let's all tune in shall we? I may need some support when this whole thing is over. Maybe not, if the Osmond charm nails it. I can only hope. The man is 51 years old for God's sake, who of us can actually do what has has done? Woo hoo tonight should be fun.

"J" and "J" 's Adventurous Road Trip to Southern Indiana

We made the connection in Indianapolis via Christopher on his way back to Purdue. What a sweet young man to help out his Aunties and Mother. Then in a flash we were off. Not much visiting with the young'uns we'll see them for Thanksgiving, and that house is full of germs, no offense kids....just that Christopher does not need to catch anything before his finals, and Jeanie needs to be sent back to Ohio healthy.
Our trip started off just fine, traffic is decent on Sundays, and Jeanie was chatting about the Brown's. They must have been listening on the way to Indy. Brady was having a good game.
We finally got to 37 and that is a long straight stretch of road, with several stop lights. We discussed Donny , and how well he is doing in DWTS. Well, I had to tell her he really wasn't doing all that great, and he may not win. He's done well so far, and he's fun to watch. No, he's gonna win, I think he's the best, and Bruno thinks so too. Yea, Bruno likes Donny alright, but we'll watch the finals and it will be quite fun with Jeanie on the edge of her seat. We drive on. Lot's of wildlife on our journey. A giant turkey hawk swooped down at a car in front of us. Wo, that was close. Our vehicles have a tendency to attract large birds to the front grills. eg. ( large owl embedded to the Carevan that both my kids, especially Bri have great affection for, the van I mean, not the owl ). I pointed out to Jeanie the cows in the fields, she responded, yea. We passed a horse and buggy, Amish she said. Your right, I am sure you see that sometimes in Ohio too. Then Jeanie said she saw a Camel. It has two humps. No, maybe a Llama, I stated. She was very quiet for like an hour. Now we are 231, and you see lots of cows, goats, and horses. I am sure that was a camel. She said, it had two humps. Well, I don't think Indiana is hot enough for camels, I really think it was a Llama. Don't worry Jeanie, I say. I thought I saw a buffalo one time driving down this way. I just saw one, she said, with a lot of cows. Well, then I think we're both right, if you saw a camel I saw a freaking buffalo. Then we both were quiet for a long time. Then she said, look how beautiful that sunset is. And it was absolutely gorgeous! It reminded me that when I travel that road to and from Indianapolis I rarely appreciate the skyline, and today my sister reminded me how beautiful the sunset is in southern Indiana on a fall Sunday evening. And that my friends is worth the trip right there.

DWTS/GALA

Okay, we attended the Gala. It was absolutely gorgeous. It took place at West Baden, which has just been renovated which is spectacular. Unless you have actually been there, you don't get it. This place is like something from Italy or France in the middle of Southern Indiana. Just come see us, we'll take you there. The oval ceiling the windows the acoustics were all perfect. The dinner was fillet Mignon and lobster. There was a waiter and bus boy for each table and there were six hundred people attending, so that's a lot of service people. The music was great, and the dance floor was always full. It definitely was a beautiful night.

My issue was that I just watched DWTS and Susan Boyle had on my dress. I normally wouldn't compare myself to her, (although I am not happy at all with my weight at this point in my life), but I do compare myself with Small people Big World. Whatever the name is, I am a freaking Hobbit. I have short legs and little arms, but my other body parts are normal. It really is accentuated when I gain a few pounds.....hence Susan Boyle comes to mind. Not that I am knocking her at all, but she had my freaking dress on!Not Katrrrrrina, or Cheryl, freaking Susan Boyle. So do not be looking for any pictures real soon. Any pictures that were taken , I was at least six inches shorter than anyone else, and I had heels on. I just feel very short and very old and very untalented at this moment in my life. What the hell , are all people of German ancestry tall? These people tower over me.
I had a fabulous time, we danced, we ate , we shmoosed. All was good. There were young , old and in between. I was hoping that Rob and I were in between.
