Wacko Jakco

So Michael Jackson has died. I do respect the contribution he has made to music. I understand about how he influenced the video industry, but for the last maybe what ten yea5rs of his life he was not very productive, and absolutely creepy. He may have been a legend in his day , in my view he went over the top. I don't know why. Maybe his Daddy was too hard on him. Whatever, He was not right in the lat few year anywhere from 7-10. So you have a person that changes music, then becomes some kind of nutso....you pay homage to this guy forever? He did change music , but in the end he lost it... and he wouldn't have been able to make it trough a tour... he's too frail and sensitive. I honestly think that in the end that is exactly what took him to the other side was

Very Overheated Abe

God love his little heart. It was sooooo hot, he had his shirt, his train in hand and he was actually riding THOMAAAAAAS. What a thrill. A good memory again.

Thomas The Tank Engine In Indiana

Well who would have thought that this little Thomas the Train table along with trains ,tracks , bridges and many accessories would have grown into Abe's obsession . You know we all had them. Bri's at Abe's age was Popeye, Robby's was He-Man. I do not remember really having so much an obsession when I was three, I loved ballerinas, you know pretty Tutu's, ballet shoes, stuff like that. But not really a real person or specific show to watch. Rob said his was Zorro.
Anywho we not only got to ride a real life big train, which just happened to have Thomas' face on it, but Abe got to meet Sir Toppum Hat. Which sort of scared him a little, but he was okay with Mama there too. It was hotter than Haiti's, and there were so many detours, which made it extra hard to get to, but we made it. It was amazing to see how many kids are into this toy. It was totally a great day. We were all thankful that little Sam was back at home with Grandma Pat and Aunt Marcia in the air conditioning, cause he did not need to be out in that weather. There were a few little babies younger than him there. Abe was way too excited to eat, and Bri kept pushing the juice. The ride home was good, and he slept all the way. I am sure he dreamt about Thomas. He is going to love looking at his pictures over and over. I am so glad we got to share his special day when Abe was two and he got to ride Thomas the Train.

Jumping the Gun

Well, I am jumping the gun here, but Father's Day is Sunday, so Happy Father's Day Rob. I know Rob is not my father, but I have learned so much about me through watching my children interact with their Dad. I have been so lucky to have someone that loves kids and has made our children foremost in our lives. We all grew up together, me ,Rob,Brianne and Robby. Now, our kids are grown up, and we are just enjoying our friendship with them. How cool is that?
So this weekend we are going to see Thomas the Train in Connersville, Indiana with our grandson Abe. (Rob's biggest fan) I can not think of a better way to celebrate Father's Day than with your Grandson that thinks he is a Rock Star. Happy Father's Day Big Rob.
