Okay I have to write , just for the record, I'm okay with Ann Curry leaving the TODAY Show. I'm just putting it out there. Ann, I love you. You are beauteous and I loved your stylist. Cause girl you looked good every day. I loved that you were part of the TODAY show family per se', but I get that they are moving you on girlfriend. No bad JuJU, but you are too sweet. I know , how is that bad? You were a wee bit  awkward in many situations, you were maybe too sensitive in others, and to be honest Ann, you are kind of a dork. I do not think Matt Lauer is the bad guy in this situation, he got along with several cohorts in crime. Katie and  Meredith were great and had great chemistry with him. Ann is a different...not bad, not TODAY show anchor, she is a great news person. I am sure it was not a great thing for her, she will get it in the long run. Ann , I know you will do great in the future. This probly hurt your pride, but in the long run it's a better fit.

I was feeling very uncomfortable with several of your interviews. Sorta saw the writing on the wall.

Fifty Eight Years Old!

This is the year that I am embracing my age instead of trying to hide it. What the hell, its actually a blessing to be around and partying for all these years. We are so blessed in our lives and I think we forget to live in the present and actually enjoy what we have.
I have a good husband, who has grown up with me and my brothers and sisters from the time we were fourteen. That's a lot of years.He knows me and my faults better than anyone else in this world, given that he's still with me. A good night for me is when Rob only wakes me up once because of my snoring.
Our kids are happy and healthy. We love them very much.(and don't live too far away.)
Our two little grandsons are perfect and wild and crazy just as a 3 year old and 5 year old should be. And they love their Baba and RRRrrob.
We have been busy at work and busy at play, but it's always good to see our family and friends from all the years.
I don't know what this year will bring , I am thankful I am one year older to enjoy it and not take any day for granted.

Magnolia Tree

When we  first moved to this house there were many things I loved about it. It has the cutest little sun room right off the kitchen, and the man-cave for Rob downstairs. We loved the little oasis in the backyard. In surveying the area, we noticed this big overgrown bush-like tree in the front. It stood beyond the roof, and Rob has hated it from day one. It really had outgrown the landscaping. Not really adding to the looks of the front. The tree had lost lower limbs and was not aesthetically pretty. But its a Magnolia! You know southern trees, with  aromatic blossoms. Can't we save this old tree? It's been a battle for eight years. What  would Dolly Parton  Shirley McClaine and Sally Fields do?
